34 Fish & Richardson Attorneys Earn Recognition on 2025 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll

Fish & Richardson is pleased to announce that 34 of the firm's Washington, D.C., attorneys have been named to the 2025 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll in recognition of completing 50 or more hours of pro bono service in 2025, nearly doubling the firm’s total from 18 attorneys honored in 2024. Of those recognized, 23 attorneys earned placement on the High Honor Roll for contributing 100 or more hours of pro bono service.

“We’re proud to see so many Fish attorneys recognized this year, and even more proud of what those hours represent,” said Principal Daniel Tishman, pro bono coordinating attorney for Fish’s Washington, D.C., office. “Pro bono work allows us to serve people with real legal needs while giving our attorneys meaningful opportunities to grow, sharpen their skills, and see firsthand the impact they can have. Even a small-time commitment can make an extraordinary difference for clients and be deeply rewarding for the lawyers involved.”

Established in 2011, the Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll is supported by the D.C. Access to Justice Commission, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, and the D.C. Bar. 2025 marked another record‑breaking year for pro bono representation in Washington, with 6,052 attorneys reporting 50 hours or more of pro bono legal work. Of those, 57 percent reported 100 or more pro bono hours, qualifying them for recognition on the High Honor Roll. This represents a significant increase in participation compared to previous years.

In a joint letter to honorees, Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the D.C. Court of Appeals and Chief Judge Milton C. Lee, Jr. of the D.C. Superior Court wrote, “Pro bono participation is simply indispensable to the efficient functioning of our civil justice system. We are encouraged by the record-breaking number of lawyers qualifying for the 2025 Honor Roll and know that more pro bono legal work translates into more District residents receiving much-needed help, as well as increased access to justice in our community.”
