Background

Veena Tripathi is an Associate in the Minneapolis office of Fish & Richardson. She was previously a summer associate at Fish.

Ms. Tripathi gained her accreditation as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), with proficiency in data privacy issues, including how to manage and secure personal information, and how to prepare and maintain effective data security and privacy policies.

Ms. Tripathi is actively involved with pro bono causes. She was previously a law clerk with the Innocence Project of Minnesota and has volunteered with the LegalCORPS Brief-Advice clinic which assists new and emerging businesses with their IP and business needs.

During law school, Ms. Tripathi served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Michael J. Davis for the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. As the Lead Online Editor for the Minnesota Law Review, she founded and hosted the school’s first legal podcast, Experto Crede, and managed the journal’s official blog De Novo. She served as the President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association and Co-Chair of the South Asian Law Student Association. Ms. Tripathi was the class-elected J.D. Speaker at her commencement ceremony.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Tripathi worked across broad range of technologies and business sectors, ranging from medical research to high-growth start up technologies and platforms.
