Overview

Kelly Allenspach Del Dotto’s practice focuses on complex patent litigation, with an emphasis on life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical litigation, including Hatch-Waxman litigation.

Kelly has worked on a variety of technologies, including, for example, pharmaceutical formulations, DNA sequencing technology, nucleosides, fluoropolymers, and detergents. She has experience in all phases of litigation, including pre-filing due diligence, document collection and production, fact and expert discovery, depositions, discovery hearings, claim construction hearings, and trial.

Since becoming a member of the Delaware bar, Kelly has engaged in pro bono, representing petitioners filing protection from abuse (PFA), and parents seeking guardianship or custody of their children. Kelly has also volunteered through Delaware’s Federal Civil Panel.

Outside of her pro bono work, Kelly also volunteers through the Junior League of Wilmington and Read Aloud Delaware. Her favorite book to read is “We Don’t Eat Our Classmates” by Ryan T. Higgins.

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys scuba diving and making decorative royal icing cookies.
