Matthew G. McVicker focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling in a wide range of computer and electrical technologies, including machine learning, mobile device software, augmented reality, laser imaging, and financial transactions. He has extensive experience in prosecution practice, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications and conducting prior art, invalidity, and infringement investigations.
He has also overseen foreign counsel and the prosecution of patent applications in foreign jurisdictions. Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Matthew was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications concerning graphical user interfaces and document processing. His experience as a patent examiner gives him unique insights into the inner workings of the USPTO that he uses to advance clients' prosecution matters.
