Mario Teichmann, Ph.D., focuses his practice on helping clients secure patent protection for their innovations in Germany and throughout Europe.
His practice encompasses patent drafting, prosecution, and counseling in matters before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and the European Patent Office, as well as opposition and appeal proceedings before the EPO. He has additional experience participating in patent infringement and invalidity proceedings in the German Federal Patent Court. Mario passed the German patent bar exam in 2022.
With an extensive technical background in the life sciences, Mario is comfortable working with innovations related to biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, macromolecule drugs, small molecule therapies, gene therapy, diagnostic methods, oncology, immunology, and nanotechnology.
Prior to his legal career, Mario gained significant academic research experience at institutions around the globe, including the Technical University of Munich, Harvard Medical School, and the Indian Institute of Science. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed scientific journals.
In his spare time, Mario enjoys scuba- and freediving, traveling, mountaineering, and Asian culture and cuisine.
