Background

Chloe Margulis is an Associate in the Twin Cities office of Fish & Richardson P.C. She was previously a law clerk and a Summer Associate with the Firm. Chloe focuses her practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the electrical and computer technology fields. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), she has expertise in a wide range of data privacy issues, such as managing and securing personal information and preparing and maintaining effective data security and privacy policies. She studies the intersection of big data and the law, and her scholarship has been published in several international journals. Her undergraduate thesis covering the application of big data analytics to patent litigation was published in full in the Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society (JPTOS). During law school, she was selected as a Google Legal Scholar from among thousands of applicants, which enabled her to visit Google campuses and work with Google attorneys and other professionals. Prior to joining Fish, Chloe was a law clerk in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
