Background

Nicole Williams’ practice focuses on patent litigation. She has experience with various technologies, with a particular emphasis on the life sciences, including DNA sequencing, pharmaceutical compounds and biologics, microfluidics, and medical devices. Ms. Williams has also litigated cases involving digital cameras, sports technology, and flash memory drives. She has handled many aspects of both offensive and defensive complex litigation, including: due diligence, pre-trial fact and expert discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and direct examination of witnesses at trial. Additionally, Ms. Williams has successfully argued in front of the PTAB in Inter Partes Review and has experience drafting appellate briefing submitted to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ms. Williams has experience with district court, ITC, Federal Circuit, and PTAB cases, as well as arbitrations.

While attending law school, Ms. Williams served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
