About Markus

Markus Weyde is of counsel in the Southern California office of Fish & Richardson P.C. His practice emphasizes intellectual property services, such as patent litigation, inter partes and ex parte post-grant work, strategic counseling, and opinion work. Mr. Weyde has extensively worked with international clients, including clients in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Switzerland.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Weyde was director of production programs and lead project engineer at a hybrid-electric automotive company. Mr. Weyde has significant industry experience in hybrid-electric technologies, including energy storage systems and energy management systems. For example, he was managing the design and development of hybrid drive system technology, high power/energy ultracapacitor, and lithium ion battery systems. Mr. Weyde was also responsible to support the integration of a MRP/ERP system, including system specification, functional implementation, and process optimization.

Mr. Weyde also has experience in the aerospace industry, where he designed and developed experimental test equipment for advanced component and structure analysis, and performed destructive and non-destructive component testing for a global helicopter manufacturer. Furthermore, Mr. Weyde analyzed and evaluated global positioning systems (GPS) for non-precision approaches for a major airline.
