Fish & Richardson Named to IAM Patent 1000 for National Patent Litigation and Prosecution Practices
Fish & Richardson announced today that its Patent Litigation and Patent Prosecution practices have received top national rankings in the 2016 edition of IAM Patent 1000: The World's Leading Patent Practitioners. Fish's offices in California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, and Texas also received top rankings for the firm's Patent Prosecution and Patent Litigation practices. IAM noted that, "The mighty Fish & Richardson is highly regarded. It has great practice groups on the prosecution and litigation sides."
IAM reports that Fish "is a formidable competitor" and "obviously one of the top patent litigation firms - it puts together great trial teams of smart people who play to win. It is aggressive and built for success at trial." The firm also has "a deep well of patent expertise" and is a "prosecution powerhouse." IAM goes on to note that, "Fish has cultivated one of the busiest, most successful post-issuance practices in the country. Its dedicated team does a marvelous job capitalizing on the firm's prosecution and litigation skill sets to frame arguments that Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) judges find irresistible. A particularly robust appellate practice also puts it at a distinct advantage over others."
In addition, 31 Fish attorneys were selected for inclusion as "leading patent professionals." The attorneys selected include: Gwilym Attwell, James Babineau, Edmond Bannon, Samuel Borodach, Dr. Jack Brennan, Juanita Brooks, Christian Chu, Joseph Colaianni, Susan Coletti, Ruffin Cordell, John Dragseth, Dr. Janis Fraser, Timothy French, J. Kevin Gray, John Hayden, DJ Healey, Lawrence Kolodney, Phyllis Kristal, Dr. Stuart Macphail, William Marsden Jr., Douglas McCann, Michael McKeon, Frank Porcelli, Thomas Reger II, W. Karl Renner, Timothy Riffe, Frank Scherkenbach, Jonathan Singer, Terry Stalford, Hans Troesch, and Dorothy Whelan.
The IAM Patent 1000 includes top patent firms and professionals in key jurisdictions around the globe. The rankings are culled from extensive interviews and are based on depth of expertise, market presence, and the level of work on which attorneys are typically engaged.
