Fish & Richardson has added Peter Nagle as of counsel and Tamala Jonas, Ph.D., as patent agent in its patent practice, further expanding the firm's capabilities in patent prosecution, portfolio management, and counseling. The pair join Fish from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and reunite with Principal Benno Guggenheimer, who joined Fish earlier this year, further strengthening Fish's ability to serve innovative technology companies.
"Peter and Tamala bring deep patent prosecution experience, impressive technical backgrounds, and a longstanding commitment to helping innovators protect valuable intellectual property," said Global Leader of Patent and Transactional IP John Hayden. "Their additions bolster our ability to provide sophisticated patent counseling and prosecution support to clients across a broad range of technologies and industries."
Nagle advises sophisticated technology companies on patent prosecution, patent portfolio management, and post-grant proceedings. He has extensive experience helping clients protect and maximize the value of complex innovations across software, artificial intelligence, and consumer technologies while aligning IP strategies with broader business objectives.
Jonas draws on more than two decades of patent prosecution experience and a deep technical background in materials science and engineering to help clients secure protection for innovations across electrical, medical, and manufacturing technologies. She has significant experience prosecuting domestic and international patent applications involving electronic devices, nanostructured materials, and battery technologies.
