Fish & Richardson, Corrin Drakulich Recognized in 2026 LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards

Fish & Richardson is proud to be named the winner of four categories in the 2026 LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards, which honor firms and practitioners across the United States, Canada, and Brazil for their exemplary work in the life sciences over the past year:

  • Intellectual Property Firm of the Year
  • Intellectual Property Boutique Firm of the Year
  • Patent Strategy Firm of the Year
  • Impact Case of the Year: Regenxbio Inc., Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania v. Sarepta Therapeutics

Fish's Impact Case of the Year recognition stemmed from the precedential Federal Circuit victory the firm achieved for clinical-stage biotechnology company REGENXBIO. Reversing a district court ruling and reaffirming patent protection for certain genetically engineered technologies in the field of gene therapy, the decision clarified the application of Section 101 to human-made biological constructs and carries significant implications for the patent protection of future biotechnology innovations.

In addition to Fish’s firmwide awards, LMG recognized Principal Corrin Drakulich as General Patent Litigator of the Year – South. A first-chair trial lawyer for complex patent and intellectual property disputes and an elected member of the firm’s management committee, Drakulich serves as the global leader of litigation for the firm’s more than 200-lawyer Litigation Practice Group.

Winners of this year’s LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards were recognized at a private awards dinner on September 10, 2026.
