Fish & Richardson Sweeps National Tier 1 IP Rankings from Managing Intellectual Property for Seventh Consecutive Year

Fish & Richardson has received six national Tier 1 IP rankings in Patent Prosecution, Patent Litigation, Life Sciences, PTAB Litigation, ITC Litigation, and Copyright in Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) magazine's annual ranking of the top IP law firms in the United States. Fish received more Tier 1 rankings than any other law firm - sweeping the rankings for the seventh year in a row. The firm also received top rankings in the Trademark Litigation and Trademark Prosecution categories.

According to MIP, "Fish & Richardson is one of the largest and most successful IP specialty firms nationwide." Considered an "IP powerhouse" across the board, "Fish is stocked with top IP subject matter experts. Their counsel is business-oriented and always geared to helping us achieve our objectives cost-effectively and with maximum IP protection.”

Both clients and peers alike said that Fish is the "best of the best" in trademark law with one client noting the firm's “depth of talent” adding “if someone on the team is unavailable, there is someone equally knowledgeable and talented to quickly step in."

Fish's patent prosecution team was praised as "very easy to work with" and "very thorough, experienced, and they add value to our portfolio." The firm's PTAB litigation team was lauded for assisting "more clients than any other firm in post-grant proceedings" and its "PTAB expertise is supported by Fish's long-time position as a leader in general patent litigation."

Another client praised the firm's strategic counseling and litigation abilities in a recent International Trade Commission (ITC) case, saying "Fish was absolutely outstanding in every way in a complex case that involved both the US and Korea. Their advice, insight and guidance was consistently spot on. Their preparation level was an embarrassment to the defending firm by comparison."

MIP's independent research is based on a weighted system of peer and client feedback, combined with a review of information obtained from surveys conducted with law firms and their clients in over 80 jurisdictions around the world.
