The past few months have witnessed at least five big changes in patent law that can either make you or break you, depending on whether you plan now or ignore them.
Like the old saying "An ounce of prevention saves a pound of cure,” making changes now to cope with these challenges will prevent expensive future problems.
PATENTS ARE NOW LANDMINES
In May, the US Supreme Court Incorporated the criminal law concept of “willful blindness” into patent law.
As with illegal contraband, maintaining deliberate or willful blindness to avoid explicit knowledge of a problem is no defense to intentional patent infringement.
