Fish & Richardson announced today that Cynthia Johnson Walden, a principal and Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Trademark and Copyright Group, has been named to the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 2012 list of “Top Women of Law.” This prestigious award is given to an elite group of women lawyers who have made important contributions to the legal community through outstanding leadership, vision, passion, and advocacy. Walden will be honored at a reception on October 12, 2012 in Boston.

Walden’s practice includes all aspects of trademark law, ranging from U.S. and foreign prosecution, client counseling, domain name and Internet-related issues, trademark dilution, trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and trademark litigation. She also focuses her practice on copyright prosecution, client counseling, and copyright litigation, and has extensive experience with false-advertising and unfair competition matters and corporate due diligence.

Walden received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1995 and her B.S., cum laude, from Dartmouth University in 1990. She has been selected for inclusion in The Legal Media Group “Guide to the World’s Leading Trade Mark Law Practitioners” annually since 2008.
