Four Fish & Richardson Attorneys Recognized as 2025 North Star Lawyers for Pro Bono Service

Four Fish & Richardson attorneys have been recognized as 2025 North Star Lawyers by the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) in recognition of their pro bono service. Each honoree provided 50 or more hours of pro bono legal services in 2025.

The North Star Lawyer designation recognizes MSBA members who contribute significant time to providing free legal assistance to those in need. In 2025, more than 700 MSBA members collectively provided nearly 80,000 hours of pro bono legal services to individuals and communities across Minnesota.

“Pro bono work reflects our commitment to supporting individuals and families in the communities where we live and work,” said Garett Padilla, principal and pro bono coordinating attorney for the firm’s Minneapolis office. “It’s rewarding to see our attorneys recognized for the time and care they devote to this work and the meaningful impact it has on others.”

The Fish attorneys named to the 2025 North Star Lawyers include:

  • Erin Higgins, Ph.D.
  • Michael Kane
  • Grace Kim
  • Madison Murhammer Colon

Fish attorneys are dedicated to serving the communities in which they live and work, and pro bono work is an integral part of the firm’s professional culture. Fish believes that the practice of law is a privilege that carries with it the responsibility to provide pro bono legal services to those in need.
