Fish & Richardson Firm Members Recognized for Pro Bono Services by California Lawyers Association

In recognition of their pro bono work during the 2025 calendar year, five people from Fish & Richardson were honored by the California Lawyers Association with the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for completing over 50 hours of pro bono service.

The Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services has been awarded each year since 1989 to recognize lawyers, law students, paralegals, and secretaries who volunteer their time and efforts on behalf of low-income clients in California. The certificate honors the memory of Justice Wiley W. Manuel, the first African American Justice of the California Supreme Court.

Fish attorneys are dedicated to serving the communities in which they live and work, and pro bono work is an integral part of the firm’s professional culture. In 2025, the firm made significant pro bono contributions, with Fish attorneys and professional staff completing over 25,000 hours of pro bono service during the year. Fish believes that the practice of law is a privilege that carries with it the responsibility to provide pro bono legal services to those in need.
