Professional Responsibility and Practice Before the USPTO

On Monday, December 14, join the USPTO's Deputy General Counsel and Director for the Office of Enrollment and Discipline (OED), Will Covey, for an overview of legal ethics and practice before the USPTO.

In addition to reviewing various OED programs and initiatives, Director Covey will discuss:

• Select regulations governing the USPTO's disciplinary process;
• Statistics regarding recent disciplinary orders; and
• Select case law relevant to practice before the USPTO in patent and trademark matters with an emphasis on USPTO disciplinary decisions and the USPTO Rules of Professional Conduct.
