Fish & Richardson Named Top PTAB Firm of 2018 by Managing Intellectual Property

Fish & Richardson is the #1 law firm at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) for 2018 according to a PTAB survey compiled by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) - retaining its #1 rankingfor four years. Fish represented petitioners and patent owners in 207 proceedings,handling 40 more PTAB cases than its closest competitor. Fish is also the #1 most active firm representing petitioners at the PTAB with 140 petitions - twice as many as the next firm on the list.

Karl Renner, principal and co-chair of Fish’s Post-Grant Practice Group, was the #1 most active attorney at the PTAB overall in 2018, appearing in 104 proceedings for petitioners and patent owners. Renner (78 petitions), Thomas Rozylowicz(40 petitions), Jeremy Monaldo(34 petitions), and Timothy Riffe(34 petitions)all made the top 10 list of the most active attorneys representing petitioners at the PTAB. Fish attorneys Roberto Devoto(22 petitions) and John Phillips(20 petitions) also made the list.
