Karl Renner, Principal and Post-Grant Practice Co-Chair was quoted in Law360's article “Tough Questions Await As PTAB Partial Reviews Get Boot" on April 25, 2018.
"Petitioners will have to be cautious about which claims they challenge," Renner said.
"Those who haven't been careful in the past about exactly how far they think grounds go need to take a second look and be more careful going forward."
"There are also a number of questions the PTAB will have to face going forward. Perhaps most pressing is how the board decides to handle pending cases in which review was instituted on just some of the challenged claims," he said.
