Post-Grant Pro Bono Project Launch

Together with North Carolina Central University (NCCU) School of Law's IP Law Institute, SAS, Fish & Richardson, and Jones Day invite you to celebrate the launch of the Post-Grant Pro Bono Project.

NCCU's IP Law Institute is dedicated to expanding the pool of minority, STEM trained IP attorneys and providing IP protections for underserved communities. SAS has provided funding to NCCU to support the work of the Institute, demonstrating its commitment to educational initiatives that prepare students for the 21st century workforce, with a particular focus on efforts in its home state of North Carolina.

Fish and Jones Day are collaborating with both organizations to give law school students an immersive clinical experience in prosecuting post-grant matters. Experienced practitioners from the law firms will work with law students to provide hands-on training before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board.

This one of a kind program serves a valuable public interest through encouraging true innovation, supporting a more diverse bar, and providing law students with valuable skills that have broad applicability for modern employers.

Substantive programming will begin at 2:15pm. A networking reception will be held at the conclusion of the presentation.
