About Therese

Therese Paoletta focuses her practice on patent preparation and prosecution. A solid-state physicist by training, she is familiar with a wide range of technologies, including computational physics, electrical engineering, semiconductors, circuits, optics, lasers, machine learning, telecommunications, quantum computing, and astrophysics. She is also skilled in software and computer programming. Prior to her legal practice, Therese was a graduate research assistant at the University of Texas at Austin, where, among other pursuits, she researched the Pockels effect using density functional theory, evaluating material candidates for use in optical modulators in telecommunications and quantum computing. She also worked as a research engineer at the Institute of Photonic Sciences in Barcelona, Spain. Her work has been published in numerous scientific journals.
