Sora Lee, Ph.D., draws on her deep semiconductor expertise to support patent prosecution for electrical and computer technologies. A recipient of Intel’s Distinguished Invention Award and the SWE Rising Technical Contributor Award, Sora brings a firsthand "inventor’s journey" perspective to her legal work, bridging the gap between complex innovation and strategic IP protection.
Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Sora had a distinguished career as a process integration engineer at Intel Corporation, where she played a pivotal role in the development of the Intel 18A node. Her strategic implementation of BEOL EUV processes delivered significant gains in device performance and resulted in over $100 million in operational savings. Her experience also extends to the frontier of superconducting quantum device fabrication at Northrop Grumman.
Sora earned her Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Her doctoral research, which is widely published in scientific journals, focused on developing scalable, high-performance 2D material-based electronics by bridging the gap between novel materials and scalable fabrication.
Outside the office, Sora enjoys scenic walks, savoring fine coffee and tea, and fishing trips with her husband.
