Overview

Qiuyi (Autumn) Wu’s practice focuses on patent litigation across a wide range of technologies, primarily in the fields of biotechnology, life sciences, consumer electronics, and mechanical arts.

Autumn has developed extensive experience with Section 337 investigations at the International Trade Commission (ITC). She has represented both complainants and respondents in high-stakes IP matters and is involved in developing litigation strategy, pre-suit diligence, case management, trial, and appeal.

 

Autumn has represented life sciences clients in U.S. district courts, including pharmaceutical companies developing small-molecule drugs, biosimilars, and medical devices. She has litigated both Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA matters.

Autumn is also experienced in advising Chinese clients on complex IP disputes and achieving favorable outcomes in the U.S. As a native Mandarin speaker, she plays a critical role in helping clients navigate the U.S. court system.

Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Autumn served as a judicial intern for the Honorable William G. Young of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. During law school, Autumn worked as an intellectual property and licensing analyst at Boston University’s Office of Technology Development.

Experience

Certain Foodservice Equipment and Components Thereof, 337-TA-1166 – Represented respondent Guangzhou Rebenet in a case involving trade secret misappropriation, as well as tortious interference with contractual relationships. Complainants sought a limited exclusion order at the ITC to bar importation of the client’s products into the United States. Obtained a final judgment that complainants failed to prove substantial injury to domestic industry.

Certain Vacuum Insulated Flasks and Components Thereof, 337-TA-1216 – Represented Respondent Everich and Tomic Houseware Co., Ltd. in a Section 337 action brought by Hydro Flask and Helen of Troy Limited alleging design patent infringement and trademark infringement. Case resolved via consent order.

Represented a biopharmaceutical company in litigation related to the company’s oral testosterone therapy formulation.
