Kenneth Langley, Ph.D., focuses his practice on patent prosecution in the aerospace, defense, and oil and gas industries.

He has extensive experience working with technologies including fluid dynamics, imaging, interferometry, systems engineering, deep learning, and data science. Ken received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University.

Prior to joining Fish, Ken was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Tennessee Space Institute, where he investigated shockwave-boundary layer interactions in hypersonic experiments in Mach 2-7 flow. Prior to pursuing his Ph.D. studies, Ken worked as a civilian mechanical engineer for the U.S. Air Force. He also has extensive experience in technical writing and communicating the results of his research in international scientific journals and at conferences. His work has been published in 18 peer-reviewed publications and presented at over 20 conferences, and he is the named inventor of a U.S. patent for a human-powered borehole drill, which is now in use in over 30 developing countries, enabling cost-effective drilling of water wells. In his spare time, Ken enjoys Lego, traveling, and photography.
