About John

John McCormick is an associate in the Boston office of Fish & Richardson P.C. Mr. McCormick works closely with businesses on brand adoption, protection, and enforcement in the U.S. and internationally. Working with a wide range of clients – from startups to global multi-billion dollar enterprises – Mr. McCormick has experience working on all manners of projects within all manners of budgets. With extensive experience evaluating and managing trademark portfolios, Mr. McCormick works closely with his clients to develop strategies and implement approaches that best suit their needs not only in the present, but also with an eye to the future.

Mr. McCormick’s practice focuses on supporting all aspects of a brand – whether that be trademark selection and clearance, branding, advertising, corporate due diligence, licensing, or enforcement in court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Mr. McCormick also does extensive pro bono work for a variety of charities and non-profits, and serves as a trustee associate for the Nativity School of Worcester.

Prior to joining Fish, Mr. McCormick worked as a trademark fellow for a Fortune 15 company. While in law school, Mr. McCormick worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable John M. Conroy, magistrate judge, of the District of Vermont.
