Hilal Morrar supports patent prosecution across a range of computer science and software technologies, including artificial intelligence, distributed systems, and cloud-based infrastructure.
Before transitioning into intellectual property law, Hilal worked as a software engineer, where he contributed to the design and development of scalable systems, including building APIs and implementing distributed data storage functionality. He also gained experience in performance testing and system reliability, working with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
Hilal’s technical background further includes experience in machine learning research. As part of the Applied Machine Learning Lab at the University of California, Santa Cruz, he worked on the design and training of neural network models for time-series data, with a focus on evaluating model performance and refining architectures. Hilal holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
In his spare time, Hilal enjoys snowboarding, basketball, and reading.
