Overview

Adam Payne focuses his practice on patent prosecution in the electrical and computer technology industry.

Drawing from his years of industry experience as an engineer, consultant, and researcher, Adam has a deep familiarity with a wide range of technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, semiconductors and processes, novel materials, medical devices, cybersecurity, robotics, and circuit design. His legal experience includes drafting patent applications from inventors’ disclosures, responding to Office actions from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and supporting the defense of patent rights before the European Patent Office.

Adam is a co-inventor of five issued U.S. patents and the co-author of over 30 publications on amorphous and crystalline silicon solar cells, III-Nitride compounds and devices, and economic analyses of the domestic solar cell market.

In his leisure time, Adam enjoys a variety of hobbies, from hiking, juggling, and ballroom dancing to reading and baking.
