Overview

Aarthi Muthuswamy, Ph.D. focuses her practice on supporting patent prosecution in the energy and chemicals industry.

Prior to beginning her career in law, Aarthi worked in research and project engineering at the University of Calgary and for a multinational oil and gas company, gaining extensive experience across a wide range of technologies and chemical processes. Her technical expertise lies in the rheology of complex fluids such as polymers, polymeric materials, surfactants, emulsions, and foam. Additionally, she specializes in microfluidic studies, interfacial phenomenon, and reservoir simulation.

During her Ph.D. studies, Aarthi led a collaborative research project involving several universities and oil and gas companies to advance predictive methodology in surfactant evaluation for commercial enhanced oil recovery projects. She is the author of three peer-reviewed articles and has presented at several international oil and gas consortiums.
