Recently, Prometheus Labs. v. Mayo Collaborative Servs. was before the Federal Circuit, who unanimously ruled that diagnostic methods involving laboratory tests are patentable subject matter. The issue surrounding the patentability of diagnostic methods has been beforethe Supreme Court in the past, and they will soon see it again. Jonathan Singer was interviewed about the issue and his involvement with the case.
