Fish & Richardson Grows Technical Team in the Second Half of 2025
Fish & Richardson has strengthened its team with three new technology specialists and a China patent advisor in the second half of 2025, bringing fresh talent that expands the firm’s technical depth and global capabilities.
Yanjun (Yan) Feng, Ph.D., works with clients to support patent prosecution and portfolio management in the life sciences industry, with a particular focus on pharmaceuticals, biotech, and diagnostics. She also assists with the development of global intellectual property portfolios. She earned her Ph.D. in immunology and molecular pathogenesis from Emory University, where she focused her dissertation on the role of programmed cell death pathways Caspase-8 in the regulation of antiviral CD8 T cell and NK cell responses. Feng has a master’s degree in biochemistry from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Wuhan University.
Shannon Taylor, Ph.D., supports patent prosecution in biomedical engineering, physics, and mechanical engineering. She earned her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University, where her research integrated imaging physics and physiology to engineer magnetic resonance imaging technology and develop computational tools to improve diagnostics for an under-studied chronic disease. She holds a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from Lehigh University.
Lu Yin assists clients in patent prosecution related matters in electrical and telecommunications innovations. Prior to starting his career in patent law, Yin gained experience configuring and deploying fiber network switches. He holds a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Tufts University where his research focused on the channel capacity of MIMO wireless communications, as well as modulation methods for 5G communications. Yin has a bachelor's degree in communications engineering from Wuhan University.
China Patent Advisor*
Zishuo Yang guides innovators in electrical and computer technologies through the full life cycle of domestic and international patent prosecution. He has experience with cross-jurisdictional patent prosecution involving semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications. Yang holds a master’s degree in signal processing from the University of Surrey and a bachelor’s degree in electronic science and technology from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
