Background

Matt Colvin is an Associate in the Dallas office of Fish & Richardson. Mr. Colvin practices patent litigation, representing companies accused of infringement and those seeking to enforce their intellectual property rights. He has legal and technical experience in a variety of technology areas, including network architecture, oil and gas drilling technologies, aerospace structures, composite materials, and medical devices. He first joined Fish in 2011 as a Summer Associate.

Mr. Colvin is admitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Texas bar. Prior to his legal career, he was a Chief Structural Engineering Instructor and an aircraft battle damage repair engineer in the US Air Force. He has experience with aircraft life cycle management focusing on structural composites and advanced material development.​
