2018 was a tumultuous year for post-grant practice. In a recent article highlighting some of the biggest developments over the previous year, Fish Principal and Post-Grant Practice Co-Chair Karl Renner was asked for his perspective on the PTAB’s proposed revisions to the claims amendment process. “It's a real challenge the director has, because he's got to balance the need to observe the congressional mandate for one-year completion, with the grace period, against the desire to make amendments fair and available,” Renner stated.
