On December 2, 2025, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit rendered a decision shaking the global antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) industry — holding Seagen's U.S. Patent No. 10,808,039 invalid for lack of written description and enablement under 35 U.S.C. § 112, overturning a prior Texas jury verdict awarding Seagen $41.8 million USD in damages and ongoing royalties.
