Track 1: Ethics in Negotiation

“Ethics in Negotiations” gives an overview of the ABA Model Rules and best practices that apply to negotiations in intellectual property transactions, including licensing deals and litigation settlements. The panel will also discuss measures that can be taken in different situations to avoid future problems and also to protect your client and yourself should a problem arise in future disputes over the transaction. Through an interactive discussion of hypotheticals the audience will develop a model for dealing with ethics issues in their practices.
