Fish principal Betty Chen will present “Handling Ethical Issues in Professional Engineering Practice” at the Engineering Law and Ethics 2019 Seminar. Betty’s presentation will include:

  • Promoting health and welfare vs. managing risk: complementary or conflicting duties?
  • Protecting the environment: meeting or exceeding legal requirements
  • Watching the bottom line: identifying and balancing economic pressures in design and construction
  • Integrating new technologies: identifying and balancing the benefits and risks

Betty has an extensive legal practice that spans all areas of intellectual property litigation in the fields of computer hardware, software, medical devices and consumer products.
