Vivian Cheng Named 2021 "Rising Star" by Managing Intellectual Property

Managing Intellectual Property(MIP) magazine recently recognized Fish & Richardson Associate Vivian Cheng as one of its 2021 "Rising Stars." According to MIP, the "Rising Stars" award recognizes some of the best up-and-coming intellectual property practitioners in private practice who have contributed to the success of their firms and clients.

Cheng is based in Fish's New York office, where she focuses her practice on trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, and copyright litigation. Her experience also includes representing trademark owners in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board; counseling clients on clearance, prosecution, false advertising, and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights; and counseling on domain name issues and intellectual property license agreements. In recent years, she has played a key role in litigation surrounding the "Fearless Girl" statue, which was famously unveiled on Wall Street in 2017, as well as trademark litigation on behalf of travel metasearch engine Kayak.

MIP's independent research is based on a weighted system of peer and client feedback, combined with a review of information obtained from surveys conducted with law firms and their clients. Inclusion is based solely on merit.
