Fish principals Juanita Brooks and Hans Troesch have been named among California's Top IP Attorneys by the Daily Journal

Troesch was one of the 25 top patent prosecutors/portfolio managers honored. He is a founding partner of the firm's Silicon Valley office. As noted by the Daily Journal, Troesch's deep knowledge of computer science technologies has been a significant foundation for his strategic patent counseling practice. His ability to write code and speak "fluent computer science" has greatly benefited his representation of established corporations in the preparation and prosecution of thousands of patent applications, mainly computer system, Internet and software-related technologies.

Brooks was one of 75 IP litigators selected. The Daily Journal recounted a "gotcha" moment she had when cross-examining an expert witness in a $400 million suit for client Allergan. Brooks located the expert's prior writings and even a chapter of a yet-to-be published book that countered his testimony - a strategy that proved not only to be "one of the more fun cross-examinations" Brooks has had, but also successful in obtaining the court ruling for her client.
