Overview

Yun Dong represents clients in patent litigation matters in U.S. District Courts and the International Trade Commission, including Hatch-Waxman litigation and cases pertaining to biosimilars, electrical engineering, and software. She also assists in trademark litigations and pro bono cases related to immigration matters.

Yun has experience handling various phases of litigation, including pre-suit due diligence; pleadings; infringement and invalidity analysis; and fact and expert discovery such as witness preparation, taking depositions, and dispositive motions. She has also assisted in trials, including supporting preparation of direct and cross examinations and managing evidentiary exchanges.

With a technological background in biology, Yun is well-versed in pharmaceutical, antibody, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and medical device technologies. She also has worked on a wide range of technologies, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, video and image processing, and software, as well as on non-technological issues such as damages and economic domestic industry.

During law school, Yun served as an intern for the Honorable Kara F. Stoll of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where she researched and drafted memoranda regarding procedural and jurisdictional issues in patent cases. Before law school, Yun studied cytoskeleton phenomena related to Alzheimer’s disease while pursuing her master’s degree in cell biology.
