Yanjun (Yan) Feng, Ph.D., applies her deep technical expertise to support patent prosecution and portfolio management in the life sciences industry. She has particular experience working with innovations related to antibodies, oligonucleotides, gene and cancer therapies, autoimmune disease therapies, and viral vectors.
In addition to preparing and prosecuting patent applications for wide-ranging life sciences innovations, Yan has assisted in the development and management of global intellectual property portfolios for clients including start-ups, privately held companies, universities, and research institutions. She has also performed patentability analyses, freedom-to-operate studies, and due diligence investigations for industry clients and venture groups.
Whilepursuing aPh.D. in immunology and molecular pathogenesis at Emory University, Yan focused her dissertation on the role of Caspase-8 in the regulation of antiviral CD8 T cell responses. Leading biomedical journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences(PNAS),The Journal of Immunology, and Immunity have published her research.
