Xuxuan Chen helps clients obtain and maintain patent protection for technologies related to semiconductors, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and materials science.
A natural problem-solver and skilled communicator, Xuxuan excels in translating clients’ innovations into durable patent protection. Before joining Fish & Richardson, Xuxuan spent several years working as a China patent agent in a firm’s electrical division, where she gained substantial experience preparing patent applications and drafting office action responses for major international clients.
While completing a master’s degree in materials science and engineering at Tsinghua University, Xuxuan focused her research on the preparation and properties of bismuth oxychalcogenide thermoelectric materials. During her undergraduate studies, she spent a research exchange term at the University of Oxford’s Applied Superconductivity Center, where she studied the preparation, structure, and superconducting properties of Mo-Re alloy thin films.
Outside of work, Xuxuan enjoys running, table tennis, and playing the piano.
