Shannon Taylor, Ph.D., supports patent prosecution for technologies related to biomedical engineering, physics, and mechanical engineering.
Holding a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University, Shannon brings deep technical expertise to her work for clients. Her research at Vanderbilt integrated imaging physics and physiology to engineer magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology and develop computational tools to improve diagnostics for an under-studied chronic disease. As a technology transfer intern for Vanderbilt’s Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization, Shannon performed due diligence for imaging technology, medical devices, artificial intelligence tools, and software, and she conducted prior art searches and patentability analyses of cutting-edge engineering and life sciences technologies.
Shannon’s work has been published in several scientific journals, and she has presented her research at multiple international conferences.
