Mona Ziaei litigates for clients in matters concerning their cutting-edge biotechnologies.
Mona’s legal experience includes researching and developing arguments for patent infringement briefs; supporting depositions; researching and presenting guidance on the implications of artificial intelligence on trade secret and copyright law; and conducting legal research.
During law school, Mona served as a legal research and writing teaching assistant, as well as editor of Cardozo Law Review’s online companion journal de•novo. Mona also served in Cardozo’s Patent Clinic, where she worked with clients on intellectual property-related matters. She earned the Class Prize in Trademark Law in recognition of distinguished achievement.
Before joining Fish, Mona served as an intellectual property consultant at a biotechnology start-up. As a graduate researcher at Columbia University, she created benchmark protocol and test circuits to characterize the noise level of a novel microphone for use in a fully implantable cochlear implant.
When she’s not at work, Mona enjoys practicing yoga and traveling with her husband.
