Fish's Kevin Gray Named One of the World's Top Patent and Licensing Attorneys

Intellectual property attorney J. Kevin Gray, Assistant Managing Principal of the Dallas office Fish & Richardson P.C., has been named as one of the top 250 intellectual property strategists and licensing attorneys in the world by the editors of Intellectual Asset Management magazine.

The IAM Licensing 250 identifies attorneys who offer world-class representation that enables corporations to enhance the value of their intellectual property portfolios. The publication notes that these honorees look beyond a straight bottom-line return in counseling organizations on the wide range of value-creation options available to rights owners.

The publication's research process involves personal interviews with attorneys, corporate executives, financiers and consultants from around the world. Each individual attorney on the list must receive multiple nominations from those in organizations unrelated to the potential nominee, which prompts additional IAM research on the nominee's demonstrated abilities in the development, creation and management of intellectual property value.

"This recognition is particularly gratifying since the selections are made by company CEOs and other attorneys," says Mr. Gray. "It's a great honor to be included among a select group of professionals who take a comprehensive approach to IP management and value creation, aligned with the client's overall business strategy."

Mr. Gray is a former chairman of the American Intellectual Property Association's Cyberspace Subcommittee on Domain Name Disputes and the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy. His practice at Fish & Richardson emphasizes domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution, as well as the licensing of intellectual property and proprietary rights for clients ranging from individual inventors to Fortune 200® companies. He has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers listing each year since 2003, was featured as one of the "Best Lawyers in Dallas" in D Magazine in 2003, 2007 and 2009, and was recently named to the Lawdragon 3000 list of top attorneys in the U.S.
