Fish & Richardson announced that John Hinrichs has joined the firm as Chief Information Officer. Based in Twin Cities, Hinrichs will have broad responsibility for all information technology (IT) functions across the firm’s 13 U.S. and international offices. He will collaborate with the firm’s practice leaders and administrative departments to identify IT opportunities focused on continuous improvement of operating effectiveness and creating new tools that help the firm deliver value to its clients.

Fish’s award-winning IT team has been recognized in the industry for building innovative solutions to help attorneys work more efficiently and for the high degree of professionalism and sophistication among its team members.

Previously, Hinrichs was the vice president of Infrastructure Services at Allina Health, a large health care organization in Minnesota. During his 31 years at Allina, he held multiple senior positions in its IT department and has deep experience in network architecture, operating systems management, security, and application development.

“We are very excited to have John join our team. He brings strong technical depth, excellent leadership skills and vast knowledge of the portfolio of IT functions and services to his new role,” said Richard Anderson, Chief Operating Officer at Fish. “We are fortunate to have found someone with this level of experience in such a large and complex platform, and with diverse perspectives and experience.”

Hinrichs received his M.S. (1992) and B.S. (1986) degrees in computer science from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
