Fish Named Top Patent Prosecution Firm by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine

Boston, MA, February 17, 2010 - Fish & Richardson received a top "Tier 1" national ranking for its Patent Prosecution practice by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) magazine in its survey of the leading IP law firms in the U.S. An elite Tier 1 ranking means that Fish received the most recommendations - from hundreds of practitioners and in-house counsel surveyed - for the quality and depth of their practice. Fish also received top tier rankings in 11 other categories, including regional Patent Prosecution, national and regional Patent Litigation, national Bio Life Sciences, and national ITC.

MIP's survey is based on extensive research and interviews with both law firms and clients worldwide in 75 jurisdictions. Based on this research, firms are ranked in tiers in each category in each jurisdiction. The tiers reflect the perception of the leading firms in each market with those in the top tiers receiving the highest number of recommendations. The research was conducted between September 2009 and January 2010. This is the 14th year that MIP has published its annual international IP survey.

"We are honored to receive such high rankings in the MIP survey, especially because it reflects the perceptions and experiences of our clients and peers," said Peter Devlin, President of Fish & Richardson. "It is tremendously gratifying to be recognized for our deep expertise in all of our IP practice areas."

MIP is a leading international magazine for IP owners and is part of the Euromoney Legal Media Group with offices in London, Hong Kong, and New York.
