Fish Principal Thad Kodish Named 2013 "Rising Star" by Daily Report

Atlanta, GA, September 16, 2013 - Fish & Richardson announced today that Thad C. Kodish, managing principal of the firm's Atlanta office, has been named a "Rising Star" by Daily Report. This annual award is given to a select group of lawyers under the age of 40 who are "chosen not only because of where they’ve been, but also because of where...they’re headed." Kodish will be honored at an event in Atlanta on September 19, 2013.

Kodish has served as managing principal of Fish's Atlanta office since 2011 and maintains an active practice specializing in patent and intellectual property litigation across a wide range of technologies. He has lead numerous litigation teams through patent and trademark disputes and has testified as a patent law expert for one of the country's largest consumer products companies. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he was a chemical engineer at Pratt & Whitney.

As the pro bono manager for Fish's Atlanta office for three years, Kodish also oversaw a group of attorneys that litigated habeas corpus cases for the Georgia Innocence Project. In recognition of this work, Kodish was named to the "Pro Bono Honor Roll" by the Georgia Bar Journal.

Kodish received his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2000 and his B.S., cum laude, in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan in 1996.
