Background

Dr. Kathryn Grey is an Associate in the Twin Cities office of Fish & Richardson P.C.  Her practice focuses on patent counseling, drafting, and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications in the life sciences, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, therapeutics, and diagnostic areas.  Dr. Grey has experience conducting finance-related due diligence, freedom-to-operate, and patentability analyses, as well as drafting non-infringement and invalidity opinions.

Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Kathryn was an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati P.C., in the Patents and Innovations group.  She previously conducted post-doctoral research at the University of California, San Diego, where her work focused on intracellular signaling of cytokines in neurons.  Her doctoral work focused on the molecular mechanisms of LTP and LTD in H. verbana.  Additionally, she previously worked to elucidate cognitive impairment symptoms in relapsing and primary progressive multiple sclerosis.
