Overview

Jun Li focuses his practice on patent prosecution and post-grant proceedings across a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications; database technologies; cryptology; internet and computer network security; microelectronics; and software, including artificial intelligence, software as a service (SAAS), and cloud computing.

With vast tech knowledge, industry experience, sophisticated legal insight, and business acumen, Jun helps his clients build and manage commercially valuable patent portfolios. He currently manages a portfolio of more than 1,000 patents for one of his clients.

Before joining Fish & Richardson, Jun had a 15-year career in the telecommunications industry, including as the director of wireless communications standards for a major telecommunications company. Throughout his career in the industry, Jun was deeply involved in developing new technology and 3GPP standards, and he has been listed as an inventor on more than 50 telecommunications patents.

Jun received his M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he was named valedictorian.
