Fish & Richardson Principal Christine Goddard Named to 2021 "Top Women of Law" List by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Fish & Richardson Principal Christine Goddard, Ph.D., has been named to the 2021 list of the "Top Women of Law" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (MLW). Each year, MLW singles out an elite group of legal leaders for this prestigious award.

Goddard helps pharmaceutical companies develop strong patent positions on existing and future drug products. She works with a broad range of clients in her patent prosecution practice, from handling multi-billion dollar patent portfolios for the nation's leading drug companies to serving as a "virtual" in-house patent counsel for smaller clients to help build their patent portfolios from scratch.

Outside of her legal practice, Goddard is a member of the Greater Boston chapter of Women In Bio, which promotes careers, leadership, and entrepreneurship for women in the life sciences, and a member of ChIPs, a nonprofit organization that advances and connects women in technology, law, and policy. She also participates in the Harvard Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (HGWISE) program, serving as a mentor to women graduate students.

Goddard received her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 2010, her Ph.D. in bio-inorganic chemistry from Harvard University in 1999, and her S.B. in chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1993.
