Fish & Richardson Receives Top National IP Rankings in Best Law Firms 2017 Report; Named "Law Firm of the Year" for Patent Litigation

Boston, MA, November 29, 2016 Fish & Richardson has been ranked as an elite "National Tier 1" law firm in four practice areas - Patent Litigation, Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation, Patent Law, and Trademark Law - in the U.S. News & World Report – Best Lawyers® 2017 "Best Law Firms" rankings. Fish also was recognized as the "Law Firm of the Year" in Patent Litigation. Only one law firm in each practice area - from among thousands of firms nationally - is selected to receive "Law Firm of the Year" honors, making this designation a particularly significant achievement.

Fish's high rankings and designation as "Law Firm of the Year" indicate a unique combination of law practice quality and breadth of legal expertise. The rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations and peer reviews from leading attorneys in their field.

Fish also received top rankings for Technology Law and Appellate Law. The firm's offices in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Dallas, Delaware, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, San Diego, and Washington, D.C. received top "Tier 1" rankings in multiple categories as well.

"Fish's focus every day is to help clients solve their most complex IP challenges in the most cost-effective and efficient way. We have the deepest bench, we know how to strategically protect our clients' valuable IP assets, and we deliver winning results. That is what keeps us at the top of these rankings year in and out," said Peter J. Devlin, president of Fish & Richardson.
